About the GTAHL

Who We Are

The Greater Toronto Area Hockey League (GTAHL) is a well established and one of the most exciting ball hockey leagues in the GTA. It's origin sprouted from two asian ball hockey leagues, the MCBHL and MABHL, which were huge successes in Mississauga's asian community since 1998. We have since expanded to include people of all backgrounds and races.

What We Offer

Ball hockey is the ultimate summer sport for any hockey fan. It brings the excitement of the sport to our arenas, gyms, and streets in the summertime. We offer our members a safe, affordable, and fun-filled time every year and we believe, as we grow, we are still improving on those standards. We want the players to reflect back on some good memories and a feeling of satisfaction.

The GTAHL was formed to:

  • provide a medium for organized, fair, friendly, and high-quality game play
  • promote Canada's national sport in Canada's largest metropolitan area to people of all backgrounds and races
  • promote sportsmanship, teamwork, and cooperation during game play
  • unite communities of all ethnicities and help make our neighbourhoods safer, happier, and healthier places to live
  • help maintain good health and staying in shape!

Future Plans & Growth

The committee members of the GTAHL saw huge growth potential in other areas around the GTA. Thus, a decision was made to expand the league beyond Mississauga. GTAHL now caters to people from Burlington, Oakville, Milton, Brampton, Caledon, Richmond Hill, Markham, Scarborough, Toronto and surrounding regions, along with still providing to people from Mississauga. The committee's aspirations for the league are to become a recognized member of the Ontario Ball Hockey Association.
